Lady Gaga is the New American Idol

Lately she has been better known for her latest fashion statement of the no pants look. Also she was accused of lip synching her way through the odd performance and has received harsh reviews from critics for substandard performances across the globe. Was she set for a short term stay in the music industry only to fade into a distant cringe worthy icon of the era?

Last night she answered critics with a powerful showing on American Idol putting the audience and most of America into land of 21st disco. She played her hand and called our bluff. While we still expect to see the fruity side of this new diva we are well aware she holds all the aces when it comes too being one of the most distinctive artists of the decade and beyond.
