Usher included on board of trustee's at Woodruff

The R&B superstar was included along with 5 others on the board of trustees at the ‘Woodruff Arts Center. He is the only entertainer on the 79 member board and probably the only recognized by your children. Woodruff in a move trying to involve the youth with the arts community seem to be well served by this musical icon of the modern era as part of the programming.

“I first and foremost would like to give more young people, who wouldn’t otherwise have the means, the opportunity to experience art programming at the Woodruff Arts Center,” he said in an e-mail. “I also hope to share new ideas that can combine art and service as powerful agents of change in Atlanta.” Usher also said he was “so honored to be invited” in a sign of what this position meant to him.
